Tóm tắt/ chú giải : Who is Jesus according to the Gospel of Mark? A variety of answers have been given to this question in the course of the Markan research and there appears to be no consensus on the Markan Christology, despite some prevailing trends. In this context, this book attempts to answer the question of Jesus' identity by approaching this theme in a comprehensive way. At first, the author compares the Christology of the pre-Markan tradition as it appears in its two carriers, viz., pre-Markan collections and Q, with that of the parallel Markan passages. These comparisons enable him to have some preliminary indications on the prominent Christological trends of Mark. At the second stage, the author tries to answer the question of Jesus' identity by making use of narrative criticism as tool of analysis and consequently by concentrating on three narrative elements of Mark, viz., plot, point of view, and characterisation of Jesus. In the process, he succeeds in demonstrating that the designation "the Son of Man" stands for the identity of the divine person present in Jesus of Nazareth.
