| Tóm tắt/ chú giải | : | Systematic theology does not arrive at its conclusions independently. It professes to subject itself to the biblical presentation. Yet, while this is or ought to be the fact, there is a difference between systematic and biblical theology. As pointed out in my previous book, the biblical form of theology is mainly inductive in its method, while systematic or dogmatic theology is mainly deductive. In the present work the student is invited to consider the Bible statements regarding “The New Creation” and from them to form a sound induction. Systematic theology is not ignored, but its findings are considered in the light of relevant scripture passages. The interpretations which have been presented on these serious topics by various schools of thought are, of necessity, very condensed. It is hoped, however, that no serious misrepresentation has been allowed to creep into the text. |
