Tóm tắt/ chú giải | : | THIS IS A BOOK which grew out of the necessity of preparing lectures in Biblical Theology. As they were developed the distinctive benefit of the Biblical Theology approach to the study of the Scriptures became more apparent. Then came the suggestion to write for publication. This has now been done with great personal profit to the author and with the prayer that the effort may prove of great benefit to others. In a work of this sort, one is indebted to many people. Some of this debt is acknowledged in the references in the text to the work of others. Dr. Howard F. Vos, the textbook editor of Moody Press, gave many helpful suggestions along the way. The assistance of Mr. Henry A. Way, Jr., in typing the manuscript, proofreading, and preparing the indexes has been invaluable. This is a book to be used with a Bible always and with commentaries frequently. It should assist any reader to have a new appreciation of the authors, circumstances, and writings of the New Testament, and in our day when we so desperately need more doctrinal preaching, Biblical Theology can be used to meet that need. May our Lord Himself, without whom we can do nothing, prosper this work for His own glory. |
